I got this collection of estate pipes from ebay, just came in today. I think I did OK. Nine pipes and a nice lazy susan rack with humidor for 50 bucks.
So, what is that oddball in the upper left, top row?
I can't wait to clean up the next one, the Soren freestyle sitter. It is in very nice shape, just lots of oxidation on the stem. I suspect this collection sat for a LONG time before it was found.
Next in the top row, the Honeymaster. The stem is stuck tight. It is in very nice condition and I don't want to break it. Should I try the freezer first?

You'll have much better luck with Pipe I.D. questions here:

This site is almost all pipe makers, not collectors.
As for the stuck stem, yes, try the freezer trick first.

Top left looks like an old meerschaum with a replacement stem.

The mortise also may loosen up with some water or steam. When briar dries out, the major shrinkage is circumferential, not radial, so the mortise gets tighter.
Adding moisture may reverse that phenomenon.

Re: Stuck stem and other questions
Thank you! I am learning slowly. One thing I have learned is that I will have to sneak the pipe into a freezer. LOL
Now I see that the oddball (meerschaum) pipe has a stuck stem too. Not sure how to proceed with that one.
