That’s just absurd! 23” would work
But only if the stem/shank junction is dead centered....

I would really like to participate this year! I have thought about it all year, ever since missing out the last go-round.

I'm in. This is a great idea. Thanks for heading this up. The Forum is already a huge help, this just takes it a notch up.

Since we started late this year, we are going to open the voting for the shape on Friday and select the winner by Monday the 1st. The ideas so far are:
Billiard
Blowfish Lars or Fugu
Live edge plateaux
Dublin
Bulldog
24" CW w/ Flattened Saucer Bulldog Bowl
From those that are participating, please think of other shapes or a theme that you would potentially like to do. I will make the poll available sometime Friday afternoon.

Please ignore that Doug guy. I've met him, and he's almost as disagreeable and ornery as that Sasquatch dude.
UFOs must be real. There's no other explanation for cats.

But I'm only half as hairy, or so I'm told.

I’ve only just finished my first pipe and have yet to post an introduction or photos. But I’m bursting with enthusiasm and unwarranted confidence, so what the heck. I’m in!

It will be a great honour and a huge challenge for me to participate among the best pipe makers.

Zulu would be fun. I've got a little Derby one that's probably a pretty shitty pipe but I'm fond of it and have been thinking about trying to copy it for awhile.

I really like the idea of something more classical, such as a billiard or bulldog
