What shape is this pipe?

Post by n80 »

I like the shape of the bottom pipe in this picture but I'm not sure what category it falls into. Sort of Dublin shaped. Maybe Zulu with a straight stem. Any thoughts?

Tough to tell from just the one pic. It could be a variant of either.

Looks like a Dublin to me. Never seen one carved with such hard angles. Pretty cool.

Thanks LL. Several of the Savinellis in those images are referred to as Yachtsman and "Dublin-esque". They all had bent stems. So maybe this is a straight Yachtsman. Anyway, I like the look and my try to carve one. Will have to decide whether or not to bend the stem.

The pipe in the photo has what looks like a lower case 'b' inlaid on the stem. Anyone know that brand?
