Hello

Post by Greggy »

Hello I am new to the forum.
Just started to make pipes and smoking tobacco.
The tobacco I bought is Skandinavik Mixture.
The pipe I made is of olive wood.
The problem is that the tobacco switch off and I have to keep lighting the pipe.
What could be the problem?
The olive wood I used was not seasoned.

The construction and the materials of your pipe are only two factors in the art of pipe smoking.
Smoking a bowl of tobacco involves proper loading, tamping, dumping ashes, and on occasion, using a cleaner to move wet tobacco out of the airway.
It also depends on what else you do while smoking-if you are meditating and staring at a fire in the fire place, or doing something involving more active participation.
Some guys can smoke an entire bowl without a relight, others have to re light frequently.
It is a skill and it has to be learned.
I frequently have to re light my pipe because I put it down to do other stuff.
