I con only assume this is some sort of horizontal boring machine. Anybody know what this is? Or have a good guess?
I came across it on a sweedish pipe makers page.
It's an engraving machine. I think Love Gieger's if I remember the photo. If you look closely, you'll see the brass letter plates at the bottom. It creates a tracing of these letters onto the pipe for marking the briar.
Sometimes known as a "pantograph engraver". I think I recall a certain manufacturer that used that word as a model name, but I may be confusing that with Engravograph, which was a Hermes brand name.
