So you just want some vulcanite that is drilled so you can turn the tenon and shape it? Am I understanding correctly? (Vulcanite rod is round already, so that wouldn't need to be turned.)

Drilling it would be the challenge, but it is still do-able. It comes in various sizes ranging most commonly from about 3/4" to 1" in diameter.
