Pipe making video

Post by KurtHuhn »

I finally got around to editing and compiling all the footage I took of me roughing a pipe. It can be found here:
http://blip.tv/file/303461

It's a simple straight-shanked billiard with a pre-formed saddle stem.

Comments and critiques welcome.

I forgot to insert a warning about that. If you don't like German industrial heavy metal, turn down your speakers. :D

I tried to put together a soundtrack of original music, but I don't have the patience for that type of stuff. I got about 5 minutes in to it, and scrapped the entire track. It was easier to just drag music in from my iTunes library.

Kurt.. how big of a file is it? The network police in my office won't let me get to the website to view the video.

It's about 55 MB, but that site presents it as a flash video so that it streams to the browser. Is your IT department blocking the entire website? Do they block stuff like YouTube and Google Video?

If I had a faster link I would host it here, but the upstream bandwidth for my server is capped at about 1Mbps.

I could be convinced to burn the video to CD for anyone that asks. Just pay shipping and a token for my time - $5 should cover it.

With or without the music??? 8) I must be getting old, I didn't even know there was such a thing as German industrial heavy metal.

:D

Actually, it is. I picked it up years ago when I thought I might be a decent knife maker. When that failed, I started making pipes with it. :)

I've recently started making knives again. I won't post anything out of fear of embarrassment though. I've learned a lot over the last few years making pipes, but knife making is completely different...
