Seems the anti-smokers found us

Post by KurtHuhn »

A while back I put the forum into "admin activation only" mode to stem the tide of spammers signing up to flood us with porn and viagra messages. So, once a week, I filter through the new user accounts, pick out the one or two valid new users, and delete the rest. It's not as difficult or time consuming as it sounds. I mean, the username "BritneyNude" probably isn't interested in tobacco pipes, and people signing up with usernames like "adkjhdfkgvb" are just plain not going to fly. I just go through the memberlist, find the valid ones and activate them, then switch to a console session on my server and issue a quick SQL statement that kills all accounts that haven't been set to active status.

Anyway, as I was sifting through the accounts, I came across a number of signup attempts with usernames like "kickthehabit" and "stopsmoking". Needless to say, they got deleted. I guess we've hit the big time now, eh?

Silly antis. You can't sign up here. :bangin:

Whew ... There for awhile, I was starting to think it was somebody I know sending me all those "male enhancement" offers.

It's just as well you delete those anti-smoker whiners. I'd be all over them like sh.... As far as I'm concerned, anyone old enough to smoke knows the risks. I don't need those idiots repeating it to me ad nauseam.
Regards,
Frank.

Genius at work here.. I knocked into one over the weekend whilst smoking a Punch Gran Puro. She looked at me like I vomited on her dinner plate. I was even kind enough to wait until she finished her dinner and then politely asked if she'd mind if I lit up. She half-snapped "Well if you're going to light that up, I'm going to have to move!!"... huh??? Have at it, sister, plenty of other places to sit. This was in a bar regularly inhabited by cigar smokers. Funniest thing, she moved to a seat between two cigarette smokers. Nothing in the world like consistency

ROFL!

Excellent! It reminds me of a Venture bros. episode where a psuedo superhero was feeling like he made the big time because he'd finally gotten an arch-nemesis!

Yay us! I bet that this is a proud moment for Tyler and Kurt.

You know, I think I'll die happy if I can make it all the way to the grave without ever having gone "anti" on anyone else's fun. It just seems to be a pointless waste of energy that you could spend hiking or playing or chasing your cat with radio-controlled toys. Why bother?

There are many things in life that annoy me. Seeing young people with their pants hanging halfway down their hips makes me want to hit them with sticks. But, I wouldn't actually go so far as to try and get Stupid Fashion outlawed, or spend my time spamming Stupid Fashion forums trying to get them to kick their ways. As long as no one else gets hurt (and don't even get me started on the moronic "second hand smoking" BS), people should be left in peace to engage in whatever utterly stupid hobby they wish.

This has the added benefit of generating yearly Darwin awards, too.

Good point, Trever. No use using the same asinine method to control what you don't like in others that anti's are using against us. It puts us in the same box as them, intolerant.
