Got my lathe today!

Post by Zeeborn »

Woo I'm excited! I have been looking for a lath for weeks and finally found a deal. It took a 50 mile drive both ways to get it but it was worth it. Here is the add.

Now I just need the chuck and a few smaller lathe tools and I'll be in business! I also got an order out to PIMO for briar and stems.
Cheers,
Nate

The link is old now. What kind of lathe did you get?

Looked like a Delta 12x24 wood lathe. Listing said it needed TLC, but the asking price was $100 - so depending on condition it was a hell of a deal.

That's what I got. I was a little weary about the “TLC” part in the add but from using it, it seams to be in good working order. I think the seller just said that because its dirty. He told me that he got it because it came with a duplicator attachment that he wanted. It was just taking up space in his shop so he wanted to get rid of it. I think I really lucked out on this one. Any of you guys ever have one of these lathes or know anything about them?
