push pull tenon help
push pull tenon help
Hi all , Im trying to install a push /pull tenon for a pipe that had a stinger system. I got the parts from p.m.e. my question is that if install as is there will be a space between the stem and the shank. Does the stem and shank need to be recessed??? If any one has had any experience with this your thoughts would be appreciated thanx Bob Clark

Yes, that little collar has to be recessed, either into the shank or the stem, depending on which way around you install it. I've seen it both ways (quit it, you dirty buggers ), so it's your choice.
PS. BTW it's spelled Ulysses.

But that's better than what I hear around here a lot, particularly from the in-laws - "su' in". It hurts my ears, it does.
