a couple of new ones

Post by TimGeorge »

Here are a few new ones, "bambooapple" and "cowtownpoker." In the first, the transition between shank and bowl finally made sense to me after I read a comment in another thread about thinking of it as two pieces. Forgot to check the symmetry of the bamboo knuckles, but that part is actually kind of growing on me. The second pipe is somewhat deliberately chunky since I was going for a rustic (but not rusticated) old west kind of look. That one is my best-fitting stem so far thanks to a tip here about gluing the delrin insert perfectly, and also by using a precision reamer to get the mortise exactly the right size. Thanks everyone for this forum.

Really like the lines on the bamboo pipe.
