Squared Blocks!

Post by smokindawg »

I picked up a couple boxes of Eubachons from Rosewitha Anderson at the Chicago Show. (159 to be exact) She sold a lot of them. I got a couple different sizes. They looked pretty rough with 30-40 years of buildup on them. I bought a 10" disc sander and made quick work of about a dozen. Looks like there is some pretty good grain under some of it.

excellent looking briar. I had it set for a business trip to the Chicago area that would have allowed me to go to the show and it fell through last minute. That big lot of briar you got is exactly what I was hoping to find. Maybe not 159 pieces but then agian I am a weak man...

If you needed to make some of that fundage back by selling a few or if you were interested in a trade for a fixed blade custom knife let me know. I am in need of some briar to completely screw up in my lame attempt at making pipes. :banghead:

Looks like you got some viable pieces there. Can't wait to see the fruit of your labors.

@ Craig,

I've had some bad pieces of briar lately. Is there any chance I can buy a piece or two from you and for us to go ahead and drill / prep them for me "kit" style. Your frustrated friend.
