Band Too Big

Post by NathanA »

Just in an attempt to see how it worked, I bought a nickel band for one of my pipes. Unfortunately, I bought one size too big. It fits and looks nicely, it is just a little too loose. Is there anything I can do to tighten it up or make it fit better? I thought of maybe epoxying it but I wasn't sure if that was extreme or not. Thanks everyone, Nathan

Well, how much are we talking? Epoxy isn't a terrible idea but it really depends on what the thing looks like!

It is really only about half a mil too big. Just enough to make it loose where it should fit. If I push it forward about 1/4 inch with the shank taper it fits perfect, so maybe the epoxy is the best option.
