Charcoal, powder sugar and water. Mix to a paste and apply to tobacco chamber to finish inside of bowl. Also helps to create a quicker burned tobacco coating.
It won't spoil like some of the other coatings that used sour cream and buttermilk.

This is a coating that makes some sense to me.
