Finished this up a while back....thought you might like to see it.

I had this piece of briar for a while...weird shape. Finally decided to do "something", even if it was wrong. This is the result. Briar bowl, antler shank and lucite stem. The delrin runs through the antler and anchors in the briar.

Wow, what an interesting shape! I like how the stem colour complements the pipe as a whole... very good. I'd leave the antler aside, I don't like that other than a ring maybe... But generally I dig this pipe. Congrats!

Was that shaped by hand tools or did you use a Dremel type of shaping tool?

I'm not too fond of the shank and stem, but the bowl shaping is simply awesome. Just wonderful. i totally love it. The shank and stem seem too busy for the bowl, to my eye.
