Rad,

my dictionary says: "vicarious embarrassment".
Is this correct?

Cheerio!

WOW! I'm rather embarrassed! But, Rad, he has 13-3/4 years of education!
Here's his web site: http://politics.freesitenow.com/basilma ... rgovernor/
Just read it, very funny, yet rather sad. I heard Todd mention he was in favor of much of his platform.
Just remember, Georgia elected Lester Maddox

Well, some of what he stands for does make sense.

I too am against slavery at traffic stops.

To be fair, Rad, if this is what the guy from TN sounds like, how wacky is the guy who is running in Alabama? Of course, we may never know, because he probably lacks electricity and/or internet access in order to share his views with the world...

Now that I have finished that completely un-called for attack against Mr. Davis, I shall re-commence my incessant laughing at the crazy guy from TN.

I also have a problem with gold-fringed flags.

Rad,

Let's face it . . . this guy is a dumb redneck, but there are a lot of dumb redneck voters out there. Well, take Bruce for instance! Have you ever been to a tractor pull, or seen those guys on TV who sell you 65 Rambo-style knives for only eleven dollars? Were he to make it into office, I assure you he would not be without a constituency. Don't count him out, he may yet have a chance.

I should also say that, if I were a Republican, and if he were running for a House seat, I would actually vote for him in a primary over against my own 7th district Representative, Marsha Blackburn. You should also be willing to admit that, in your home state, someone such as this would likely run for "President of Alabama." At least our guy can identify one branch of state government. :D

True. If he were running against Ray "Accentuate the Positive" Blanton, I would have to vote for Basil too. If I still lived in Tennessee.

I'm pulling for Zach Wamp. I remember when he was just a whipper snapper, and he rented Porn at the same video store I did.

Georgia elected Lester Maddox
A few years ago, Missouri voters elected a Governor that had died in a plane crash while he was flying around seeking votes.

For years, we had a Governor that was a second billed sidekick to a chimp. Now, we got a Governator that can't pronounce the state name.

Minnesota, though, takes the cake.

Hah! The crazy guy is not from Tennessee after all, he's a Pennsylvania yankee who lives here for some reason. I'm betting he got kicked out of PA after the traumatic brain injury/amputation he's obviously undergone, and we just let him live here for the entertainment value.

And dangit, Rad, why didn't I read that before the primary!?!? I'd have voted for Wamp based on that tidbit alone! Plus it's fun to say "Wamp." Wamp. Wampwampwamp. wampwamp. :endofmankind:
