i am wondering - briar pipes can have a very thin walls on the bowl... how thick the olive pipe walls should be not to be to thin....???

i have seen some of the guys working with olive wood that are using 1cm or thicker for the walls on the bowl?!... any thoughts regarding that??

I made a olive wood pipe with a 7 mm thick wall and a rather wide chamber 2,4 cm http://www.tobaccotaste.com/index.php?topic=203.0 .It is now for the second year in frequent use by a friend and there is no sign of any burnout o change of the grain color.Thou you have to brake in such a pipe properly and of course you must know the different grades of quality in olive wood and how to use them.
