Sherline Mill

Post by smokindawg »

I picked up a sherline 5000 mini mill yesterday in a trade. I also got about 15 cutters with it. Came with an extra belt also. Looks to have been used very little. I'm hoping that I'll be able to make a set of aluminum jaws to fit my buddies lathe chuck to begin with.

Anyone here have one of these, and if so, do you have any tips for a milling beginner? Other than take it slow, of course.

I picked up the mill. He included quite a few bits and an extra new belt. I haven't tried it out yet, but looking forward to giving it a whirl. :D
