Happy New Year to me!

Post by SimeonTurner »

I just ordered a new metal lathe (finally). It's the Precision Matthews 11x27 VF. Can't wait to get her up and running!

With a name like Turner, it fits you well!

That's a beaut. Did it come in other colors?

Price? Shipping?

I'm hoping that's a "fuckhead" of jealousy and not of "you're an idiot for getting something retarded." if it is the latter...I may stick my head in my dust collector and wait to die. :p

It's generally not the sort of language I condone, but I must say Rad expressed my thoughts exactly.

I really enjoyed you saying "finally". It reminds of of my 5-year old saying, "Back when I was little..."

:D :D :D

Enjoy it! I'd love to enjoy one someday too.

You better get to making pipes cause it's gonna take a few to pay that puppy off. Nice lathe. I now have metal lathe envy.

Very nice Simeon. Maybe you will make something worth selling now ;)

J/K Seriously it looks a good lathe, a little research makes it look a good pipe making lathe and when you consider the features its actually very good value as well. Its certainly cheaper than the lathe I have and comes with more tooling. Though of course my lathe is better :D

Up behind Iron Curtain in Canada we are not hate owner of such machine, but kill them anyway for good of proletariat pipe-maker all over, not Bourgeoise-Pig pipe maker like big-man Czar-type Turner. But is not personal.

Follow me, Komrades - every man can have a piece of the machine and all benefit this way!

I meant "finally" as in, I've been browsing and shopping and comparing and researching for what feels like forever, so it's nice to finally screw up the courage to just pull the trigger. :P

Chris, I'm worried the fumes from the English bogswamps might be muddling your head. I thought the lathe you own was powered by two small rats running in a rusty hamster wheel? Did Paul finally convince you to get some electricity run into your shop? :endofmankind:

Well, were I not completely out of space, I would be horribly jealous. Ok, I admit it, I am horribly jealous.

Can I move in with you?

Cheers,
