Variable Speed Control for an Electric Drill

I use a mounted electric drill for all my pipe projects. I want to be able to use the pipe hands-free by holding the trigger down with a clamp and using a variable speed control to regulate the RPM of the motor. Will this do the job:

Yes. that should work just fine. Drills have motors in them with full brush contact 100% of the time, so you shouldn't have problems using this.
