Cleaning/Sanding the Tobacco Chamber

Post by tigercasual »

Hey guys,

I had a drop of stain get into the tobacco chamber: what is the preferred grain of sandpaper that I should use in order to sand this evil blight away?

Cheers,
TC

Bowl coating, but don't let Rod Davies know!!!

Around the shop, we use what we refer to as a "pipe dildo". It's something like 120 grit that is rolled, either around a dowel or just rolled up. The stain does not penetrate all that deep and should be easy to remove. On the other hand, you could start using a bowl coating.

I have a "pipe dildo" (thanks for that nomenclature, Mr. Weaver  ) that I actually just mount up in my drill press and run it for 5 seconds or so in the bowl. Works like a charm, though it goes without saying that you need to be careful not to scratch the rim of the bowl.

I just realized I use a motorized pipe dildo in my shop. Good lord...

But possession is required by law in San Francisco.
