I fixed the bamboo pipe. It looks much better now.

I replaced the brass rod with aluminum rod, and then I fixed the parts of the pipe which I did not feel "looked" right. I refinished the stummel in a darker color, I did some more carving where the shank and bowl meet, and then I put an insert between the stummel and the bamboo. I am very excited about this pipe now, and have had several people interested in it.

That is very nice I really like the color of the stain. I would be excited about it too. Nice job!

Did you smoke it after you inserted an aluminum tube? I'm interested in wether that affected the taste at all.
