Beautiful pipe !
I havent made a pipe yet, so this is my impression as a pipesmoker not a pipemaker.
I would have considered a saddle bit so that maybe 1/2 of the stem would match the diameter of the shank on the other side of the bamboo.
As it is, the taper begins abruptly at the stem and doesn't have continutity with the rest of the shank and extension.
I cant find anything else about it that I dont like.

Charl,
Just checked out your website and man, you've been busy! Really amazing work! I like this Poker but, I have to say, I really like your last bent billiard (1113). Beautiful work!

nice pipe Charl - like it very much
Re: #1114
great grain, good shaping, awesome stem work.
I feel like the line of the bamboo are out of place. All the rest of the lines are hard and angular.
Maybe some sort of saddle stem or something to carry the lines of the bamboo to completion, because with that stem the transition from straight to taper kind of kills the momentum.
