Rustication with contrast & Ring on the bone.

Post by eder »

Hey guys,

Back to work after little time off

I read somewhere, in a blog perhaps, that rusticated pipes destroy the wood grain...
On these two, stain and rustication made up a nice combination I guess.

And here are my latest two. The white inlay is ox bone. The ring on the bone is made out of ebonite.

Thank you guys,

If by any chance you guys are wondering if I stick the inlays straight on the shank. Here is a schema with
what I do. Always there is a plug on the shank on which the inlays are attached to. As I don't like to see the
shank coming out through the external inlay, I don't drill completely through. Then, I make a kind of mortise
for the shank plug on the external inlay.
