Jamestown distributors

Post by Massis »

Note to self: do not order from jamestown if you're not a US citizin.

I just ordered 2 tapered point drill bits from them as they appear to be impossible to find around here (Belgium).
I was a bit scared because they don't tell you shipping before paying, and my fear came true...

They charge 31$!!! for shipping 2 drill bits to Belgium. That's more then Tim West charged me for shipping an arbor, a drill bit, and a french wheel with work arbor!

I hoped they'd just put them in a small USPS package (because they shipped with USPS) which would only be $13, but apparently they ship it in a gold plated box or something along those lines...

On the bright side: I finally have my long taper point drill bits on their way and my Acrylic rod from Janzen is on it's way as well.
Now all I need is epoxy and some delrin, which can be easily found locally.

Thanks to the low dollar exchange rate, the difference isn't that big luckely. Besides, the one I ordered is a long length bit...
