hi all , the pipe making Gods smiled on me today got this for $30 American a little cleaning and here it is.
Called Clausing and they said they made about 20 of them in the 30's serial # Ithink says mine is #11 thanx Bob Clark

Nice, wish I could pick up a turret for my lathe at that price, sadly being a populat lathe they go for good money, at least 20 times what you paid :(

It took me a minute to figure out how that works, but I think I've got it and if I'm right... that's AWESOME!

Just to confirm, you can chuck up a bit in each of those... chucks... then rotate and lock into place depending on which you need to use. Is that right?

That is fantastic. You should be able to make a pipe in like 5 minutes!!!!

I have to ask, is that an old atlas lathe? I think I have nearly the exact same model. I picked up on the 954 stamp on the inside of the ways.

I'm not sure how well they work, because I haven't bought one, but Grizzly Tools sells Tailstock Turrets in MT2 ($62.25), MT3 ($81.) and MT4 ($99.95)

I may have to pick one up soon and give it a try at this price.
