As the thread title suggests, for North American carvers only, the Kansas City pipe club and show are holding another carving contest. I have no affiliation, I'm just passing along info that I thought you guys would want to know:

Thanks for posting. The shape is "bulldog family", pretty wide latitude. Should be one heck of a 7 day set. The raffle proceeds are split between the seven carvers in the set (club doesn't keep any of the money). All who enter are winners since Chuck Stanion publishes pictures of all the pipes entered in the photo spread in P & T.
The point of the contest is to provide publicity and recognition to American carvers. It is working. Many carvers have received orders due to being in the magazine.
