Hey Sasquatch, which X-acto saw blades do you use? The keyhole or the square ones? I imagine if you use the square you have to grind them.

Uh, at that time, yeah the tiny little keyhole ones.

I switched to a scroll-saw blade (actually 2 at once cuz they are SUPER thin) and then started using the Kemper zig-zag saw. Now I use the kemper and follow with a file.

I like Steve's (Vermont freehand) slot file.
Easy to use and no bloodletting (unless you're getting very creative).

Steve's slot file is the Kemper zig-zag saw. They work better for longer if you get a pin vise to secure it in.

That's a good idea. I have had to glue them together, and I've bent a few - if I had a handle for them that I could adjust..... yes.... YES! Muhhaahahaha

X-acto saws are great and for larger stems, I use a modified jig saw that cuts on the backstroke!!! files and rolled sandpaper do the rest! The pin vise thing sounds good and I may start using them again. I quit using them due to easy breakage and cost!!!

Sorry, I'm surprised a South African even knows the word "finesse" let alone makes a claim on it. Shouldn't you be driving around bonking Boers on the head or something?

Is he? I can never remember who's who in these things.

Also there has to be a boer/boar/bore joke in here somewhere.
