Pipe #2 Progress Pics *Update #3*
Pipe #2 Progress Pics *Update #3*
Hey everyone, since I think everyone enjoy the first progress thread I figured I would do another for this second pipe.
I got some great advice from Rad, Tyler and numerous other people and am looking forward to applying that advice and seeing how much I can improve on the mistakes I made on the first one. So again, this will be another poker and hopefully I can get this the way it needs to be! And thanks to Tyler for getting me set up!
Here we go....
Wooo I finally posted a picture correctly!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update #2 I have about 2 hours worth of work here so far. Obviously I have a lot to work on but if you see anything, please let me know! Be honest! I can't get better if no one tells me about my mistakes! Thanks yall And no the shank is NOT cock-eyed this time. I just forgot to put it back in before pics
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update #3 I think I got the shank/stummel transition like 95% done, very close...not quite yet but very close. The shank also seems a tiny bit thicker towards the stem (which is not finished yet), so I will need to take care of that. Now the bowl....it looks slighty curved on one of the pictures but I think it's the picture because it looks damn near perfect on my end. What are y'alls opinions?

I really like the minimalist design. Not sure its a poker, but it is beautiful. I think it might look better with a bit of stain on it however.

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"
well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin
"but what would be smoking to excess?"
Why smoking two pipes at once of course

ok mister, you fiddled with your first post and now all of our funny looks stupid. What you should do is post your second update after our hilarity, other than that the post was very good

How about a cavalier with a severe forward cant?the rev wrote:I really like the minimalist design. Not sure its a poker, but it is beautiful. I think it might look better with a bit of stain on it however.

I'd call that one a stacked poker. It's lookin' good! Nice block, too.
Re: Pipe #2 Progress Pics
Thank you sir. I tried my hand at my first hand cut stem and i failed big time lol. I got one last shot and if that fails too then this one will just have to sit for a while until I can figure something out.UberHuberMan wrote:How about a cavalier with a severe forward cant?the rev wrote:I really like the minimalist design.
