Help! 4 jaw chuck bolt stripping

hey guys,

for some reason the bolts that you use with the square top for tightening are stripped!! how could this happen . what a pain!

thanks..also why can i not find them anywere! waiting to hear back from jet..they are telling me i need to buy a new chuck! makes no sense.

Overtightening, wrong wrench size, or crappy metal. Usually not too many choices.

Just make sure your wrench fits the new bolts correctly.

of coarse its the chuck key that came with it. not sure how could over tighten on the briar

Unfortunately, that's just what happens with those chucks. They're only good for a limited time. Of course you can switch to the other two, but they'll eventually wear out as well.
