Finished this pipe today. I tried to get some better photos in the sunlight but they still suck in my opinion. Im having trouble getting close ups of stem and button work. I had intended this to be a Rhodesian, but forgot to scribe the ring before taking it to the sanding disc. Now she is confused. I hope the shaping and lines are better than my previous attempts. I am still struggling with stain/finish consistency. Let me know if you guys see any opportunities to improve. Thanks for looking
Joe
Thanks! The dial was out if adjustment when I was getting the stem to final dimensions. It's about .135. I couldn't believe it was reading .168, then I closed the calipers and realized they need adjusted. I've been trying to get the stem taper top and bottom to be more of a angle and less of a curve than on previous pipes. Still Focusing on nailing down the classic shapes and getting those lines right before moving on to more complex and organic shapes. Probably pretty boring to see the same shapes from me.
