Look about the same size as my lathe so should be fine for blocks and stems.

It's the grizzly equivelant of the 920 Jet. I have a scrolling wood chuck I bought fro grizzly with jaws of my own making and they do just fine.
Good luck with your new lathe. I love mine. And there are plenty of upgrades can be done to make them better.

could you give me some more info on what chuck you have dawg, and perhaps the jaws you made? I would appreciate it
