I love them all. Very nice classic English shapes! The only thing I can comment on is the length of the shanks on the billiards. Isn't a billiard supposed to have a shank length equal to the height of the bowl from the top of the shank? That's being extremely nit-picky. Usually if proportions are off it offends my eye in some way, but these billiards have a nice flow to them. I'd scoop any of them up given the money and the chance. Good job.

The red cumberland, black billard has english propotions, it's based on the Dunhill pat. no billards of 20's and 30's.

The green rustic is more like Upshall longshanked billards.

20 of my 54 pipes are billards with classic propotions, so this time I wanted to be a bit different. :D

Very nice traditional English shapes. The only thing I see that could be improved is that the button and bit could stand to be a bit more refined and the saddle on the bulldog could be thinner towards the button and maybe a touch shorter. Very nice work.

Those are some good looking pipes. I'll second Wayne's comments on the saddled bulldog. Stem is a tad thick just after the saddle and saddle itself is a little long. I don't think I would stretch it out any longer than the band.

The first two are shaped well, but the buttons are almost too short. I'd have left those a little taller. Maybe it's an English thing? Even if it was I don't think I'd do it. They're so light I don't honk I could resist clenching them! That green cumberland was an excellent choice for the first.

It's not an Elnglish thing, both are made for the same person who likes tiny buttons. He's afraid of droping them so he don't bite them so he smoke less, I've modyfied more than 15 of his pipes...

And another one pipe now.

Nice pipes. I especially like the brandy at the top.

Seriously though, these are some beautiful classical shapes. You've clearly refined your chops to be able to create excellent classics. My hat's off to you!

Michail,

What pipes in your collection do you reference for an accepted "traditional English" pipe shapes?

And has the Euro economic situation effected your consumer demand?

You are looking at after shots. They have been disarmed and subjected to the might of Thor's Hammer. :fencing:
