well all.. the week is coming to an end.. and I'm finally getting around to taking some vacation time.. my Mom arrived today from Texas ... I'm wishing everybody a great weekend... and i'm loving that black bamboo

Do you just buff the bamboo with Carnauba, or is there any other step ? Shellac, etc.

Yep...yep....yep..I love the look....

Ryan..I use the same treatment I do on my bowls. High glass buff, Danish oil for multiple days, carnauba buff, and normal buff

Multiple days? Have you found that letting the Danish oil set for so long improves your results? I ask because I notice impressive results after just an hour or so.

Yea..but I apply the oil probably a little different..wipe on..let Sit about 5 min..wipe off. And do it again tomorrow

Very nice! The only thing I think that would make it better is if the ebonite ring between the stummel and bamboo was a little thicker. Just MHO, but it is so thin that it is really easy to overlook. Of course if that was your objective you accomplished it nicely.

She is a looker that's for sure!

Thanks.. And yes that was the objective..funny thing is that the spacer comes off pretty good on the US forums... On the German forums its just the opposite...the say it would look better without the spacer....man,I can't please anybody...
