Re: a sexy canadian
Sassy lookin' pipe Rev!!
If you could offer the Canadian AND the pipe as a package deal...
Just kidding guys- I think one small thing I see, is the back of the bowl, right where it meets the shank, it looks like a tetch more could be taken off. It may also be a shadow though, so that's something you'll have to look closely at in person.
Overall, good work man! Keep it up!

Re: a sexy canadian
I'd like to see a sharper edge at the top of the rim, otherwise a vast improvement Rev!!! Very nice looking pipe!
Cheers!

Re: a sexy canadian
yeah it had razor sharp edges, but I thought that looked to harsh so I softened them a bit. What is the general rule?

You've made a nice one there.I like the height of the bowl and I would like to see a clear photo of the stem's tapering.

Re: a sexy canadian
General rule? I dunno... I've never been able to get one *too* sharp, if that's what you mean! I pulled this pic straight from the first couple results of a google image search. Turns out it's a Chris Asteriou. See how nice and clean that rim looks? Very "professional"...the rev wrote:yeah it had razor sharp edges, but I thought that looked to harsh so I softened them a bit. Personally, I don't care for the bowl profile on this Asteriou. For my tastes, the curve on the front of the bowl is nice, but the curve on the back of the bowl is too much. I like a straighter back of the bowl in the profile. Consider these three images:
Another view of the Asteriou:
Your Canadian:
To me, the front profile of your bowl does not curve enough toward the heel. I would take a little more off of the heel. But I like the back of the bowl, above the shank, just the way it is.
Here's one of my Canadians:
You can see that the front of the bowl has a nice curve to it, like the Asteriou, but the back of the bowl remains straighter like yours. This, *in my opinion*, makes for a pleasing profile. However, I submit that you judge for yourself. Not everyone has the same tastes! just something to think about...
Thank you Rev! Your hard work shows! It really does!btw you inspired me, I worked very hard on this pipe

Look at the profiles of these pipes taken from http://www.glpease.com/Pipes/Shapes/Billiards.php
Which look best to you? (You don't really have to answer to me, but answer to yourself! Just consider them.)

Re: a sexy canadian
the stem taper is not great, I used a delrin tenon and had to make room for it before I dove in. I should have used a 1/4 inch delrin or an integrated tenon. That is actually the second stem the first I sanded into the delrinarchaggelosmichail wrote:SchmidtN wrote:*Was expecting pics of Sas.*
