I like this one, Brandon. The overall design and proportions are very nice. I think the lines could be a little cleaner, more intentional. For example, if you look at the stem shank junction it looks like there is a little bump that is throwing off the flow. Other that, this pipe rocks. :thumbsup:

Thank you. The ring at the junction is Wenge. I think I'm still not sure what to do when blasting closer to the stem or ring so that the transition is still smooth.

Hmm... knowing now that that is an insert, I'd say it doesn't really work. In my mind an inlay like that should contrast with the stummel. This one matches so well it really blends in.

So how did you mask off the pipe before you blasted it? You might want to think of masking off a small part of the briar (maybe about 1/8") right next to the stem so it clearly separates the blasted area from the transition.
