I didn't think so at the time, so said nyet, but it turns out I will be after all. Just now called to reserve a room. (Only the tower was left, but that's OK. Ever walked from the far West Wing to the tent and back? It's 1440 yards... almost a mile. I'm gittin' too old for that shit.)

I am also 90% sure I am attending for the weekend, also will be in the tower, My Derby queen will also be attending this with me as it is actually going to be our 27th anniversary get away... and the cool thing is we will be arriving by train, which has been a long time desire to take a train trip some where, what better place than to Chicago?

I've been on that train from Pittsburgh to Chicago. I had the exact same desire, to take a train trip somewhere. I got that out of my system, let me tell you. Hopefully they will have done some crossing maintenance since I took my trip in '07. In any case, have fun in Chicago. I will make it one of these years.
