Okay, it's been some time since my last post.
A lot of new things are happening (me and my wife recently moved, we both got a new job (well, my first day is the 1st of september, so i've got some vacation left).
I haven't made pipes since march or so, so i recently ordered a couple of kits.
Let me say, I really look forward to getting some more tools. Better tools = no kits!
This kit was a small one, so i thought i'd go for a billiard. Overall, i like it. I think i got the shaping pretty good, and it's definately the best polishing work i have done so far. This is the 4th pipe i have made.
The drilling is off-centered, so a couple of the pics will show the wobbly lines on this pipe.
Anyway, just hit me.
Update:
Ok, some time ago i went back to this pipe and reworked it to make the bowl/shank transition a bi better.
And now the pipe is reserved for my sister in law's father.
Here's some shots of it. I dont' know how good it shows, because i still need a better photo setup.

Re: First take on a billiard
I did a pipe once with the stem cockeyed like that. Figure out how it happened and then don't make that mistake again...
Your shaping needs help. Work on getting a defined crease between bowl and shank. Also, the top of the bowl should have its tallest point on the shank side, not the other side.
Now make another!

Re: First take on a billiard
There seems to be a buldge near the shank/stumel junction on the back k side of the bowl, like a little more material needs removed

This is certainly an improvement.
