That's why I posted photos of various billiards and recommended picking one you liked to copy. There are "rules," as Todd indicated in his post, but making a good billiard is more about the particular piece and how the rules are applied to it. What I'm trying to say is that there are various factors that are difficult to describe thoroughly in written form simply because some are dependent upon other variables.
Well, I'd write a bit more, but I'm off now to the Reno show.
