So far this is my best attempt at a bulldog. I’m hoping this is -not- my PITH entry, but if things keep going the way they are now, I won’t have time to complete another. Fingers crossed though. Please any and/or all feedback anyone may have is more than welcome. Thank you all!

I'm gonna have to drop out this year. I've had way too many projects on my hands with the entire lockdown thing, and won't be getting round to this unfortunately.

Same here as Masis, I won't be able to participate in this years PITH as much as I would like to.

Nboothe, just a suggestion but maybe you could try a round shank. Unless you junction is perfectly square to lines on the diamond shank you will have gaps. Also try not to bring your taper on your stem all the way up to the shank. Leaving a small amount of shank profile on the stem will be more appealing to the eye. Short tapered bits like that are harder to get right and tend to be uncomfortable. You could have made a saddle bit to over come the steep angle. Best scenario on that style of bulldog would be making the stem the same length as the entire stumle. Lastly you are working with morta which is also making it harder for you to achieve proper shaping. My suggestion would be to go on smokingpipes.com and pick a nice looking Rhodesian about 4.5 to 5 inches in length. On their website you can scroll down and get every measurement you need to execute the pipe.

I have two submissions ready and I'm on track for a third, which should be miles better than the first two. I'm looking forward to this!

I present my submission for the PITH 2020 trade for your viewing pleasure. I call it “Ridiculous Beginner Rhodesian Church Warden Wannabe”. This is the 5th attempt for me and the only one worthy of submitting. Is it perfect?...No. Am I proud? Sure. I hope this is good enough for submission and I look forward to the constructive criticism.

When is the due date? I have a pipe ready but would love to get another one done before the end.

Well whoever gets me might be stuck with one of the two I have. My skill is far better, I think but I ruined the block I was working on so I have to start over again

Here's my submission. My first ever Bulldog. The shank is a bit thick I think, but its a decent pipe that will be a good smoker.
