Vincent Manil's website with full product details, minus pricing. I'll ask Manil for a price guide.

How's your french David? If you want me I can contact him myself with all details... (I have no idea if Vincent speaks english)

Many members of our forum (the belgian/dutch pipesmokers forum) have dealt with Vincent in the past.

Surprisingly, I had no problem reading the e-mail he sent me. I think it was all the French I learned as a kid growing up in LA. Haven't spoken a word of French in years. I'm using Google Translate to convert to French.

Thanks for the offer! I may still need you to operate as an intermediary. I'll let you know.

Is there still time to get in on this? If so, I'd love to get 400 grams... Sounds fascinating!

Massis, are you familiar at all with the various blends available on Vincent's website? I assume that the two Pur varieties are straight semois, but are the other three (La Brumeuse, Fleur de Semois, and Réserve du Patron) blended with other tobaccos? Processed differently? Different varietals?

Got you down for 500 grams, Scott. My understanding at this point is that packages come in 100g and 250g. I'll PM you final pricing once I've got it. Please let me know if this adjustment works for you.

Sounds great, thanks! I'll be in Chicago if it works out you're making deliveries there, otherwise I'll be more than happy to cover shipping. Thanks for heading this up!

The blends are identical. Even stronger: they're not blends. One type of plant, one type of leaf, all natural with no add-ons.

The only difference is the cut.

La brumeuse is wide cut, Fleur de semois is fine cut, and Réserve du patron is the medium cut.

For clarification: those are the only 3 types of pipe tobacco, the other 3 you see on his website are the backsides of the packages.

Further clarification: Bouchons are not sold by the box, but piece by piece. They go for about 3$ each I believe.
While semois burns faster than any other tabacco, a bouchon will last you well over an hour if you smoke it slowly, as it's basicly about 3 bowls big...

I really, really like the little box they are in in the picture you posted. I see there are at least 25 in that box. If I order, say 30, do you think he has one of those boxes he will pack them in? And yes, I know.....now I'm being difficult and complicated.

Massis....I'll even throw a couple your way if you can score me a box :D

Edit: Do his cigars come in boxes? I hope so, we have box storage room in the humidor, but the drawers are all full.
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day.

I'm also wondering if Uber got my e-mail re: being in for 500g and some bouchons. Haven't heard from him. Of course, he may be doing something weird like, well, working, supporting family, all that strange stuff.

Hey guys,

Sorry I was incommunicado yesterday. Was working on pipes for Chicago.

I haven't heard back from Vincent yet. I sent him a follow up this morning, so hopefully we'll have some new information soon.

Massis, it probably wouldn't hurt if you reached out to him. If you get info more quickly than I'm able to, please post details.

A bigger group buy!

If I like it I'd be willing to place a really big order.

Ditto. This is really intended as an experimental taste. Having all of us participate saves shipping for each of us and we all get to try out a tobacco that is completely unavailable in the states.

If this stuff is fantastic, I'll definitely be ordering a lot more.
