I'll show my first. It might be the worst first pipe in this thread, but these things are expected when you have very little patience or talent.

Joe, that first pipe reminds me of a scene in "Ancestral Vices" where an Italian Short-Order chef is asked to present a suckling pig at a feast, and he winds up cutting a huge boar in thirds and stitching the front and back ends together with no middle, much to the horror of the guests.

Yeah Todd, it is just about the ugliest pipe I have seen. Well, it might tie with a costello searock 55.

My first is posted on this forum; see below. Try not to cry at the beauty. It's a bit like the Grand Canyon: more than the eye can take in at once.

Well, we are hilarious. You make a great pipe, and you've got a nice, classic aesthetic. This just happens to be something outside of your sandbox and smack dab in the middle of Bill's.

True enough. When making Chheda Pipes I gotta make em look like Chheda's, not Jones's.

Jesse, I'm sure our resident comedians would agree that the fact that you can make pipes that look like Joneses and Chhedas is a testament to your skill and growth.

Apparently so! You didn't even notice when he stole this pipe off your bench and finished it

I was smart. I did not take pictures of my real early pipes. Ha!

Here is a series of blowfish throughout the last couple years:

This first one really sucked. It was made technically very well. About 2 years ago:

Figured I'd add some more, was doing a thread on another board.

Not my FIRST but some pretty early stuff, probably pipes something like 3-6.

First sandblast, damn thing came out looking like an orange peel... instead of being craggy and hiding some cracks, all kinds of new crap opened up so I gave up and just slammed a stem into it. Still smoke this pipe often.

And I haven't gone much fancier, truth be told. My latest batch going to Smoker's Haven:

and a pipe I just finished for a guy who's a briar snob but likes things plain as dogshit at the same time:
