Wow. No wonder you're confused. I give two options and you inferred 40. You must be a woman or something...

I would say everyone should get a good DSLR like I have, but then I'm realistic and realize not everyone has the cash for it, and not everyone will necessarily take better pictures without some basic camera skills. So I recommend for those who can't afford a $500 camera body to just use their smart phone. With proper lighting, a smart phone does just fine. Even if that's not what I use.

Just like a rasp and files work well for shaping, but I use a disc sander.

I wasn't trying to tell anyone to do anything.

I just wanted to let people know that not only are out-of-date cameras still available and cheap, but they take decent enough photos for all but "calendar art" caliber pipe-related tasks. A cost effective solution/option they might not be aware of.

End of story.
