Changed My Dust Collector Bag Today
When I took the lower bag off there were two briar blocks on the floor behind the dust collector. Okay, no big deal...the bag is out of the way. Just reach through and grab 'em. Rrrriiiiigggggggghhhhhttttt......That worked GREAT! Just as soon as I got my head under the upper bag and HUGE blob of briar powder jumped on me and went POOF. I still feel like I am inside the collector and it's running.
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day.

2 words of advise: thien baffle!
I just made a thien baffle separator last week from a 60L steel barrel, works wonders to catch about 95% of all dust produced. So basicly it'll be years untill I have to clean out my dust bag!

Re: Changed My Dust Collector Bag Today
thats why the thien baffle is useful, I dont have room for a full cyclone. I've moved my dust collector to the attic which fits JUST beneath the roof at about 15" high (doesn't have a bin). So all I have in my shop is a 60l bin which doesnt require alot of space.

Re: Changed My Dust Collector Bag Today
They have a mini separator at Woodcraft to fit on a 5gal. bucket and a big one that will fit a large garbage can, I got both and they work great. I put the mini on a 10gal bucket. They take up little room! Cheap and work!!!
