I'd bend the stem just a tiny bit more if it was mine.

The bottom line of the stem needs more material taken off. The ring around the bowl is too thick.

I agree with Ryan and Wayne. I would say the stem could be thinned out from tenon to button. It needs a steeper taper.

Yes, the stem does look kind of chubby. Should I keep shaping the stem after I bend it to get that right? Or do you make all the shaping prior to bending?
The ring is a bit thick. It can happen when trying to get it even using a Dremel and needle files. Also i didn't mask it Before sanding, and that rounded the edges making it look even thicker. Lesson learned!

You mean there should be more of a continous curve from the front of the bowl all the way back the the shank face?

Yes. The shank is a bit too straight for a bent.
