How you got into pipe making: my friend Jeb who I met on the Brothers of Briar forum. I tried my hand at a couple kit pipes and have since worked my way up on equipment. I credit him with starting me down the rabbit hole and doing "shop days" to motivate each other. Then I got to looking up PMF and the guys here, especially that also are on BoB (e.g. Jesse).
Then I bought 2 Growley pipes a year+ ago and we got to briefly corresponding about pipes and life in general. I would also call that an interesting, indirect push. (Still owe you a phone, sorry!

Meeting Jesse, Nate, Nathan, Ernie, Rev, Jared, and John at the WCPS really got my gears turning.
Plus I love looking at nice grain!
Other interesting facts: I like smooth pipes, I like VAPers, I'm an electrical engineer, I like guitars (which is what got me into both woodwork and electronics). I have many varied interests. I am an information sponge about the oddest things.
