No.8 pipe Volcano

Post by RDPowell »

For my 8th pipe I decided to try my hands at a Volcano and hand cut Lucite freehand stem.
Everything thing went fairly well on this one except the Pitt family decided to come to stay.
Might have been a good blast subject but, I just decided to go ahead with it in smooth, can always blast it later, I reckon.
I really HATE sanding so it's rather funny I should take up pipe making and this one here I filed sanded my life away at.
Lathe was only used to do the drilling and the stem as you must imagine. I feel pretty good about this one and I know where all my flaws
are at, so I won't ask for any critiques thank you.

Pretty interesting pipe. I like it. If you stained it a darker color the pits would be a lot less noticeable since you can't sandblast it.

Thank you Wayne, I though about doing it darker but, I really don't like dark colors and hell, it is what it is.

I like the concept of a Volcano shape on a slope.

I've never seen a Volcano like that.

Nicely done!
