Yeah, easy stuff.
While these pipes are really not attractive for me personally, I would love to see his process for finishing these carved shapes. I'm pretty sure it involves a selection of little rotary tools, like tiny scotch brite wheels, dental style rubber+abrasive bits, etc.. But how does he use them without getting any micro texture? I don't know, would love to see that.

I too, would love to spend a day with him. These are not up my alley for great smoking everyday pipes and I'm sure you will see it in the price; however they are pretty and out there. Thanks for reminding us George that there is more than one way to skin a Sasquatch, I mean cat!!!

Indeed. Given that his earlier, not-nearly-so-amazing specimens routinely go for around $2K, the crazier, newer ones are doubtless selling for considerably more.

In fact, in cases like this where your customer base has effectively unlimited means and rare/expensive personal possessions confer social status, the more something costs the more desirable it is. I wouldn't be surprised if a few on that page sold for as much as a decent used car.

The other number I'd love to know is how many hours the trickier ones took to make. 8)

With all that intricate sanding, I can only assume that a case of crippling arthritis is in his future. :)
