Flying with my pipe

Post by MmmPeace »

Hi guys, I am gonna be flying down to Tampa tomorrow for work and would really like to smoke a pipe on the beach, are there any precautions or issues while flying with a tobacco pipe? (carry on) I will of course not bring a lighter, just pipe and tobacco. Thanks! Recommend any tobacco shops down in that area?

Have done it many, many times, as long as no lighter or matches, all good.

Bring your pipe, lighter, tobacco, etc. As long as you don't have a torch lighter, all's okay.
Not to be snarky, but how do you think all the pipes got to the Chicago show?

Bring your pipes in your carry on. Make sure you put your tampers in the checked luggage. I have heard some reports of tampers being labeled as potential weapons. I throw pipe cleaners and tobacco in with the checked luggage as well. Just the pipes go with me. I do my best to avoid confrontation with TSA so i dont bring anything they will question, and I choose clothing that will not get me singled out.
