Is Pipemaking Emporium still going or closed? I'm looking at ordering something small from them, but want to make sure that I do not throw money in the water.

I think she was trying to sell the business, but why not order from Steve? Steve has far better service and you know it's going to get there as soon as possible.

They're done. The sell price on the business was too high. What's left is a disorganized list of inventory, you can email to order whatever bits and pieces you find on the list, and they'll get back to you... some time. :?

Seriously?

You either don't know Jeremiah, or have never bought anything from Steve.

I bought from PME first for about a year. Then when Steve came along, I tried him out and he was so much easier to reach and shipped super fast. I enjoy him as a person as well. He comes to Chicago every year to break even with all his sales, but he wants makers to have a chance to hand pick their materials. Because he cares about what he does.

When I was in Chicago, I asked around for rumors on what was going to come of PME and it sounds like they really ran themselves into the ground with their business practices. I heard some unfortunate incidents which I won't repeat on how they didn't do the right thing. But PME just never had close to the level of service that Steve has.

And no. I don't get commission. Or free supplies. Just trying to share my satisfaction with his service with others. He's a hard-working, honest gentleman. And he doesn't toot his own horn. Somebody's gotta do it for him.

 to Steve, I agree! But, there are bits and pieces of material that I personally like, that Steve does not have, unfortunately.
